EDUCATION
The Janet & John Raggio Nephrology Institute of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System realizes that better education and early detection are the best defenses against chronic kidney disease. The Raggio Institute was established to serve as a center of excellence for all aspects of renal clinical care, as well as education and research. Its Renal Education Program is intended to benefit at-risk patients by providing an understanding of kidney functions, types of kidney disease and the laboratory tests used to measure kidney function. The ultimate goal is to prevent the progression of kidney disease.
We firmly believe that the more informed you are, the better you can protect against kidney disease.
