The Cardiac Services Program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center operates through the use of an innovative team approach,including Physicians, a Vice President, Management Team, Cardiology Fellows, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Cardiology Research and Data Coordinators, Physical Therapists, Registered Dietitians, Social Workers, Clinical Care Coordinators, Cardiac Technologists, Support Care Associates (SCA), Patient Care Associates (PCA), Medical Secretaries, and Transport Aides who are completely dedicated to the care of the cardiac patient.

The team coordinates the care of the patient from diagnosis through treatment and into the recovery period with support programs designed to assist and guide the total process.
