Coronary Care Unit at LIJ
The Coronary Care Unit is a 10-bed unit staffed by cardiologists, cardiac fellows and residents as well as a full compliment of dedicated cardiac nurses. The unit is monitored to provide intensive arrhythmic and hemodynamic monitoring for all patients.

We are equipped to care for any cardiac emergency. Patients typically will receive acute-level care after a myocardial infarction, exacerbation of heart failure or significant arrhythmia.

Once stable, patients are transferred to a telemetry monitoring unit for continued heart rhythm monitoring and care prior to discharge.
