The outpatient offices are located at 2800 Marcus Avenue, Suite 200, next to the New Hyde Park Campus of LIJ and provide flexible hours for the convenience of our patients. The physicians participate in a wide range of insurance plans, including Medicare, Aetna-U.S. Healthcare, Oxford, PHS, Premier Preferred Care, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, and related products, Multiplan, SelectPro, Magnacare and 1199.

Diabetes Education and Treatment Program
This program provides comprehensive care to individuals with Diabetes Mellitus. These programs include Intensive insulin management for individuals with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes Insulin pump therapy. Use of new glucose monitoring devices such as the GlucoWatch and the continuous blood glucose sensor Diabetes & Pregnancy as well as Gestational Diabetes Diabetes Education Classes and individual education sessions.
Our services include: diabetes education with a certified diabetes nurse educator, encompassing such topics as sick day management, the role of exercise in treating diabetes, and the interrelationship of diet and exercise. Nutritional education and consultation is provided by a certified diabetes educator who is also a registered dietician. Our doctors and diabetes health care team strive to work together to provide an individualized optimal treatment program for each patient in our program. By working together using a team approach, individuals with diabetes can become self-reliant and confident in their ability to live with this disease.
Diabetes Wound Care Center
Located in Long Island Jewish Hospital, the Wound Center utilizes a team approach to the treatment of acute and chronic diabetic foot ulcers. A team of vascular surgeons, podiatrists as well as endocrinologists work together to provide the most aggressive team approach to preserve limbs and restore function to normal.
Thyroid Diagnosis and Treatment Program
Using the most modern modalities including thyroid ultrasound and ultrasound guided thyroid fine needle biopsy techniques we are able to diagnosis and treat most types of thyroid disorders without the need for surgical intervention. If, however, surgical treatment of the thyroid is indicated, we work with specially trained thyroid surgeons, pathologists and nuclear medicine specialists to provide the best comprehensive treatment for thyroid cancer. Treatment of other thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, and thyroid disease during pregnancy are also provided by our endocrine staff.
Osteoporosis
We recently established a Metabolic Bone Center specializing in the treatment of Osteoporosis, Hypercalcemia, Hyperparathyroidism and Rickets in conjunction with the Division of Rheumatology. We have a state-of-the-art Hologic Bone densitometer available for easy and non-invasive measurement of bone strength and provide both oral and intravenous treatments for bone and calcium disorders.
Inpatient Consultations.
We also provide endocrine and diabetes consultative services at both Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Parker Geriatric and Rehabilitation Center.
