Long Island Jewish Medical Center Opens New Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Recovery Suite - (Pictured left to right) - Barry Kaplan, MD, director of Long Island Jewish Medical Center's (LIJ) cardiac catheterization laboratory, Patricia Farrell, director of cardiology at LIJ, Susan Somerville, vice president of cardiovascular services, North Shore-LIJ Health System and Stacey Rosen, MD, chief of cardiology at LIJ, open the medical center's new $5.5 million cardiac catheterization lab and recovery suite.

"We have the most-up-to-date, state-of-the-art equipment on Long Island," Dr. Kaplan said. "With the opening of the new lab, LIJ now has four cardiac catheterization labs and 15 recovery beds to provide the highest quality of care to our patients."
