This is a 33-bed unit designed to meet the unique physical, emotional and social needs of expecting women in a family-centered environment. In keeping with our mission, our team is specially trained to provide high-quality, professional care to women. We respect your privacy, so you can be assured that your personal and medical information will only be discussed by the person you designate.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask team members. The names of your healthcare team are written on the board of your room daily.

At LIJ we utilize a multidisciplinary team approach in planning the care of each patient. We combine the skills of highly trained physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, lactation consultants, physician assistants, social workers, registered dietitians, physical therapists and case managers. The hospital's staff includes board-certified physicians as well as specialists in maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal medicine.

The patients on this unit are closely monitored and receive thorough education on their individual diagnoses in order to obtain and maintain an optimal level of health and a good, positive outcome for mother and baby.
