Long Island Jewish Medical Center has a newly enlarged Labor and Delivery Suite that contains 11 Labor, Delivery and Recovery rooms. There are also three operation-delivery rooms, primarily for Cesarean births. In addition, the suite is equipped with designated areas for high-risk labor and critical care. There are also rooms for induction of labor and a four-bed recovery room. In addition, there is a well-baby nursery and a neonatology section to care for very small newborns and those with medical problems.
