Tours
Long Island Jewish Medical Center offers a tour of our labor and delivery unit, postpartum unit and the newborn nursery.
We go over hospital policy, visiting, parking and show you around the maternity units to make you feel more familiar with our facility as it gets closer to the big day. We answer questions and give you a general orientation to LIJ and the maternity units.
Depending on availability of a labor/delivery/recovery unit, we will take you into a suite and show you the actual equipment used in delivery.
Please meet in the lobby of the hospital in front of the gift shop. There is no need to pre-register. A representative from the hospital will meet you there. Please note: We ask that you bring only one other person with you and no children are allowed on the tour.
