Local Teen Pitches In

Eagle Scout Michael Wysota, a senior at Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY, custom-built rolling shelves for the North Shore-LIJ Health System’s Center for Advanced Medicine (CFAM) in Lake Success and stocked them with books. The Manhasset teen’s project will help patients and family members pass the time more pleasurably as they await treatment at CFAM, which includes the Monter Cancer Center, the Smith Institute for Urology, the Diagnostic Imaging Center, the Center for Ambulatory Surgery and Breast Imaging Center.
