Mammography is a vitally important tool in detecting breast cancer. Southside has a special mammography program approved by the American College of Radiology. Radiology professionals also take part in the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System's Breast Cancer Initiative, Breast Cancer Tumor Board, and other monthly programs hosted by the health system's teleconferencing network.
