Maurice LaBonne

Mr. LaBonne is responsible for coordinating the physical planning, design and construction of facilities throughout the health system.
Mr. LaBonne was formerly vice president for real estate and facility development at Montefiore Medical Center, where he led a large building program throughout the 1990s, including refurbishment of inpatient facilities, development of one of the largest ambulatory care programs in the northeast, creation of academic and ambulatory care complexes for both acute care hospitals, and the creation of a children’s hospital. He was also responsible for the medical center’s community and government relations programs and served on many borough and city panels and boards.
Mr. LaBonne has served on a number of industry panels focused on facility planning, land use and economic development issues, as well as healthcare construction. He was the first chairman of The Bronx Empowerment Zone.
Mr. LaBonne received his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University.
