Elective Clinical Clerkship/Externship Application Instructions

  • Instructions for Students Attending USLCME Accredited Medical Schools*

    The North Shore-LIJ health system will be using VSAS, the Visiting Student Application Service, to receive visiting student applications for the 2011-2012 academic year. Applications may be submitted through VSAS starting on Monday, April 18, 2011. To apply to our institution, please complete and send us a VSAS application for your preferred electives and dates. For more information on our visiting student electives, please contact us in the Office of Academic Affairs via email at oaa@nshs.edu. For more information on VSAS, please visit www.aamc.org/vsas or contact VSAS at vsas@aamc.org or (202) 478-9878.

    *Albert Einstein College of Medicine students are instructed to follow the Einstein Express Elective paper application submission process outlined in the information below.
     
  • Instructions for Students Attending Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Osteopathic, Off-Shore/Foreign Medical Schools, Dental or Podiatric School

    Albert Einstein College of Medicine students, Osteopathic medical school students, off-shore/foreign medical school students, dental and podiatric students are requested to apply to elective clerkship/externships by downloading the Elective Clerkship/Externship Application. Einstein Express Application Process: Albert Einstein Medical School Students will have an express application process. They will not be required to complete an application through VSAS. Einstein students are only required to submit a paper application and CV.
