By Car (Westbound)
Take the Long Island Expressway (Route 495) to Exit 33. At first light, turn right onto Community Drive. The Hospital’s main entrance (Entrance 3) is approximately ½ mile down on the right-hand side.
By Car (Eastbound)
Take the Long Island Expressway (Rte. 495) to Exit 33. Turn left onto Community Drive (2nd left). The Hospital’s main entrance (Entrance 3) is approximately ½ mile down on the right-hand side.The hospital may also be reached via Northern Blvd. (Rte. 25A). Turn south off of Northern Blvd. onto Community Drive. The hospital’s main entrance (Entrance 3) is approximately ¾ mile down on the left-hand side.
By Bus
MSBA bus routes N25, and during rush hour, N26, provide service to the hospital. For information and schedules on MSBA buses, call (516) 222-1000.
By Railroad
The hospital is a short cab ride away from Long Island Rail Road stations in Manhasset or Great Neck. For travel information, call the Railroad at (718) 217-LIRR, (516) 822-LIRR or (631) 231-LIRR.
Surgical Waiting Room
The Surgical Waiting Room is located on the second floor of the Don Monti Memorial Pavilion. Your immediate family can wait there while you are in the Operating Room. There is a volunteer on service five days a week to notify your family when your surgery is complete and when you return to your room. Two family members may be allowed in the post-anesthesia care unit for a specified period of time at the discretion of your physician and the unit. Your family may call the surgical waiting room at (516) 562-8205 for an update on your surgical procedure.
Visiting Hours/Policies
While you are in the hospital, family and friends may be anxious to visit you. We will try to accommodate them but urge you and your visitors to keep in mind that while you are here, you may need a great deal of rest to help you recuperate. We also ask that you and your visitors respect the needs and wishes of other patients who are sharing your room.
Children under the age of 14 are discouraged as visitors on patient floors other than the Maternity Unit.

Visiting Hours
General Visiting Hours:
1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Pediatrics:
1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
One parent may remain with the child at all times. Siblings may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesdays and weekends. There are provisions for sleeping in the child's room.
Adolescent Unit:
1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Psychiatric Floor:
Monday - Friday:
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday:
12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Maternity:
11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A maximum of three people at a time are allowed. No children under 14 unless they are siblings.
Intensive Care Units:
We recognize a family's concern when a loved one is in intensive care. We urge you, however, to keep the number of visits to a minimum. It is most important for patients in intensive care to receive as much rest as possible. Waiting rooms staffed by volunteers are adjacent to each intensive care unit for family members to spend time between visits.
Medical Intensive Care Unit - 5-Tower,
Respiratory Care Unit - 4-Tower,
Cardiothoracic Unit - 2-Tower:
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Surgical Intensive Care Unit - 5-Tower:
12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - 3-Tower:
Only two members of the immediate family are permitted at the bedside at a time. Parents may visit at any hour but others must leave by 8 p.m.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - 3 Levitt:
Parents are encouraged to visit their babies in the neonatal intensive care unit at any time of the day or night except between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Please check with the unit for specific visiting times set-aside for grandparents. Others may view babies through the nursery windows during regular maternity visiting hours.
Visit Vision:
For children under the age of 14, or other visitors who do not wish to go up to the patient's room, the Hospital has installed a Visit Vision system. A visitor may stand in front of a video camera located in the Monti lobby while talking to the patient on a courtesy telephone. This system allows the patient to view the visitor while conversing.
