North Shore University Hospital at Plainview boasts a three-station dialysis unit with the most up-to-date equipment and certified registered nurses. Dialysis is also available in the intensive care unit. The voluntary attending physicians in the Department of Nephrology on staff at our hospital are board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology, and provide direct care for their patients on dialysis. Quality care meetings are held with the entire North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System nephrology team to ensure quality and uniformity of care throughout the system.
