New Cardiac Catheterization Lab Opens at LIJ Medical Center

NEW HYDE PARK, NY -- The cardiac team at LIJ Medical Center celebrates the grand opening of their newest cardiac catheterization laboratory. The new lab features a compact ceiling-mounted system which allows flexible positioning around the patient and enables physicians to see four dimensional images of the heart during a cardiac catheterization, the procedure to locate and open blockages in the heart.
