GREAT NECK, NY -- The North Shore-LIJ Medical Group today announced the acquisition of Cardiovascular Associates of New York; a well-established, multi-office cardiology practice serving the metropolitan area for more than two decades

The respected practice, which consists of 12 board-certified cardiologists, care for patients in four offices in Queens, serving the culturally diverse communities of Astoria, Maspeth, Flushing, and Bayside, and one office in Manhasset in Nassau County. All offices are located in close proximity to North Shore-LIJ Health System tertiary hospitals --LIJ Medical Center on the Queens/ Nassau border in New Hyde Park, North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset and Lenox Hill Hospital on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. With offices located in multi-cultural neighborhoods, Cardiovascular Associates’ physicians speak Greek, Spanish, Hindi, Chinese, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Romanian, French, Tagalog, Polish, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Italian, Hebrew and Yiddish.

Physicians within Cardiovascular Associates of New York are experienced in the newest cardiovascular breakthroughs and technological advances in the treatment and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, while also trained in state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. Specialty cardiovascular services include treatment of heart failure, non-invasive cardiology (clinical/echo/nuclear imaging), interventional cardiology (catheter-based treatment), and electrophysiology (cardiac rhythm disturbances).
