"This is a fantastic opportunity to give our viewers the latest information on the most important medical topics, and do it in more detail than what’s usually delivered on TV,” said Mike Rosen, MD, the program’s host and a familiar face to New York television news viewers. “This new season promises to be most interesting, with cutting-edge medical topics discussed by top clinicians.”

Dr. Rosen has been a medical journalist since 1994 and last appeared in the New York area as correspondent (and managing editor) for the Daily HealthFeed, a syndicated nightly medical news report appearing on 50 local news affiliates nationwide, and as medical reporter for WPIX-TV. He has been the senior medical correspondent for WCBS-TV Channel 2 in New York, and also appeared on the CBS overnight network news program Up To The Minute. Many of the medical topics he covered featured North Shore-LIJ physicians. The program is produced by Elaine Wohl of North Shore-LIJ’s Department of Public Relations.

During the upcoming season, North Shore-LIJ medical experts will delve into a range of timely topics, including the importance of childhood vaccinations, understanding multiple sclerosis, the newest tests and treatments for prostate cancer, treating chronic kidney disease, the signs and symptoms of gout, new robotic cancer surgery technology, the newest neuro-stimulation techniques for treating Tourette’s Syndrome and many other medical breakthroughs, coupled with life-enhancing information.
