Our Mission
The Mission of the NSUH Stern Family Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation
The mission of the North Shore University Hospital Stern Family Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation is two-fold: to enable residents to be independent by returning them to their highest level of activity as soon as possible, and to provide extended care to those who need it. Because every resident’s needs are different, each has a plan of care individually designed to meet specific medical and rehabilitation goals. An important part of recovery is support and companionship and the staff is chosen with these needs in mind.
