Pediatric Radiology

The Division of Pediatric Radiology specializes in the use of medical imaging to diagnose health problems in infants, young children and adolescents through age eighteen. The full resources of the Department of Radiology are available for state-of-the-art imaging studies of pediatric patients, including routine X-ray examinations, gastrointestinal and urinary tract procedures, diagnostic ultrasound, fast-scan spiral Computed Tomography (CT), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). In addition, low-dose isotope kidney and bladder studies are performed in conjunction with the Division of Nuclear Medicine.

Our friendly staff is particularly sensitive to the fears and concerns of our pediatric patients and their parents, and every effort is made to minimize radiation exposure to the greatest extent possible. Questions from parents and referring physicians are encouraged.
