The mission of the Department of Pediatrics is to deliver high-quality, family-centered care to sick infants and children. The department includes a 52-bed Level III NICU, 12-bed PICU and 15-bed pediatric unit.

The department operates as part of Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York. The dedication of a hospital for children enables us to treat the whole child, not just the illness. It provides state-of-the-art care for children’s medical needs in all major clinical areas, as well as support for sensitive personal and family needs.
