Lawrence Lind, MD

Dr. Lawrence Lind, Co-Chief, Division of Urogynecology, earned his medical degree at Cornell University Medical College and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at North Shore University Hospital-New York University Medical Center. Dr. Lind then completed a fellowship in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery in 1996 and returned to North Shore University Hospital to open the first comprehensive specialty center for the treatment of patients with urinary incontinence and specialized female pelvic problems. As both an innovator and a leader, Dr. Lind has helped develop the largest incontinence center of its kind in New York. Dr. Lind's mission is to provide the most sophisticated and expert specialty care while at the same time maintaining an extremely personalized relationship with patients.
Harvey “Avi” Winkler, MD

Dr. Harvey “Avi” Winkler is currently the Co-Chief of the Division of Urogynecology. He earned his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology also at the Albert Einstein College of medicine. Dr. Winkler completed his Fellowship in 1996 in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare in Illinois. He returned to New York to as the Chief of the Division of Urgynecology at Maimonides Medical Center. In 2002 he joined the North Shore-LIJ Health System and is an Assistant Professor at the New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Winkler has authored numerous publications and has presented at both national and international meetings. He is the founder of the New York Pelvic Surgeons Society and is the driving force behind the society. Dr. Winkler performs all the various surgical procedures for the treatment of urogenital prolaspe, urinary incontinence, and pelvic floor dysfunction and teaches other surgeons nationally on surgical technique both in the operating room and in the laboratory.
Staff
Kathy Iger, RN, CS, AMP, CCRC
Kathy is a nurse practitioner. She earned her master's degree in nurse education and nurse practitioner's certification with a concentration in the care of the incontinent women from New York University. Ms. Iger has specialized in the care of gynecology and urogynecology patients for more than 20 years. In addition, she has a national certification in clinical research.
Jenifer Courtney, RPAC
Jenifer is a registered and certified physician assistant. She earned her bachelor of science degree in physician assistant studies from SUNY at Stony Brook and her registered nursing AAS degree from Nassau Community College. Ms. Courtney has specialized in women's health and gynecologic care for over 25 years.
Janet Raheb, RPAC
Janet is a registered and certified physician assistant. She graduated the Cornell Medical School surgeon's assistant program in 1983. She is published in two medical journals. She has worked primarily in surgery and women's health. Janet has worked in women's health for over 12 years.
Pat Bruderman, RN
Pat is a licensed registered nurse with over 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. She earned her nursing degree at Somerset Hospital School of Nursing and has 14 years of hospital patient care experience and five years of outpatient women's health experience.
Therese Piegare, RN, BSN
Therese is a licensed registered nurse. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Molloy College. She has specialized in geriatrics and obstetrics and gynecology. She has over 18 years of hospital experience.
