Services Provided
The Division of General Internal Medicine runs a large primary care adult general internal medicine practice at the Goldman Family Care Center, located less than one mile from the main campus of North Shore University Hospital-Manhasset. Accessible health care services are provided by a group of dedicated internists, who take responsibility for addressing a large majority of personal health care needs. We develop sustained partnerships with our patients to provide ongoing medical care through all phases of adult life. Care is provided in the context of family and community, with attention to all issues that effect the health and well being of adults.

The Division of General Internal Medicine participates in teaching programs for doctors in training, and all our physicians have academic appointments at New York University School of Medicine. We participate in a large number of managed care plans and also provide care to those without health insurance through a sliding fee scale.

In addition to general primary care, the following special programs are available:

• International Travel Medicine Service - providing pre-travel evaluation, vaccinations, and other advice specific to travel
• Nutritional Counseling/Weight Loss Programs
• Hospitalist Program- Full-time hospital-based doctors work in partnership with your personal doctor, upon request, to provide high-quality hospital care
