Project Outreach

600 Hempstead Turnpike
West Hempstead, NY 11552
(516) 481-2890

A comprehensive, community-based substance abuse treatment program. At Project Outreach, we believe that each individual is unique. For that reason, treatment must be targeted to meet that person's particular needs. The program treats all types of chemical addictions, including cocaine, crack, alcohol, marijuana, opiates, PCP, Ecstasy and other drugs.

While our ultimate goal is total abstinence from all drugs of abuse, we recognize that treatment must also be relevant to each person's current life situation. At Project Outreach, patients receive a thorough psychosocial, substance abuse and psychiatric evaluation so that we can accurately diagnose their unique problems and formulate an initial treatment plan. Once a diagnosis is made, all patient treatment needs are continually assessed to ensure the most appropriate level of care.

The Program is for active substance abusers (13 years and older) with or without other emotional/psychiatric problems, abusers at risk of relapse, family members of substance abusers and those at risk of developing substance abuse problems. Project Outreach offers a full continuum of outpatient substance abuse services of various intensities and frequencies, from once-weekly group therapy to day treatment programs that meet three hours a day, five days a week.
