About Us

The Regional Healthcare Emergency Management Training Center is the only training center in the region dedicated to preparing the healthcare community to meet the challenges of emergency preparedness. The Center tailors its emergency management courses to the specific, and often transient, needs of healthcare workers and managers. The Center features a robust, yet diverse, listing of courses that focus on the recognition, management, and mitigation of emergencies at healthcare facilities.

Our Staff

Trainers and instructors share diverse backgrounds, holding certifications and accreditations from HazMat for Healthcare, as well as the following governmental agencies:

• Environment Protection Agency
• International Society of Fire Service Instructors

Our instructors are consummate emergency services professionals who have worked extensively in their careers with the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the New York City Police Department, and various emergency management agencies.

Our Facility

Located approximately 20 miles east of New York City on the north shore of Long Island in Syosset is our training center. This center offers students classrooms and break out rooms for both didactic and hands on.
