Regional Perinatal Center
North Shore University Hospital is a New York State Department of Health-designated regional perinatal center (RPC). This designation acknowledges our ability to provide the highest level of obstetric and neonatal care in the region. Our obstetrical and neonatal staff are highly qualified and capable of providing care to women experiencing a complicated pregnancy, as well as infants requiring specialized care in a neonatal intensive care unit. As an RPC, we provide perinatal consultation and transport service to hospitals in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties.
