Robert Stallone
Vice President, Laboratory Medicine
North Shore-LIJ Health System Laboratories
Mr. Stallone is responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, and operations of the health system's consolidated laboratory network, which includes a central laboratory and eight hospital sites, a $180 million annual operating budget, and over 800 full-time equivalent staff. He has more than 30 years of experience in laboratory medicine, having joined North Shore University Hospital in 1973 as a laboratory technician.
Mr. Stallone has served as consultant/advisor to various companies including the Roche Diagnostics, Inc. executive advisory board, Sysmex Corporation of America executive advisory committee, and UBS-Warburg.
Mr. Stallone has written extensively and presented on laboratory networks. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry and the Clinical Laboratory Management Association. He is a founding member of COMPASS Group, a professional consortium for large network-affiliated health system laboratories.
Mr. Stallone holds a bachelor's degree from St. John's University, Queens, NY.
