Southside Hospital Announces $1 Million Gift
BAY SHORE, NY - Southside Hospital announced an extraordinary
$1 million gift from the Bohlsen family at its recently held Renaissance Gala at Dowling College. The gala was held to raise critical support for Women’s Health Services.
The sold-out event honored, Melvin Berlin, MD and Suffolk County Treasurer, Angie M. Carpenter but the evening’s biggest highlight came at the conclusion of the awards presentation, when the Bohlsen family: John, Linda, Michael and Kurt joined Southside Hospital Executive Director, Winifred B. Mack, to announce their extraordinary gift of $1 million.
“There are no words to adequately express our gratitude to the Bohlsen Family, ” said Ms. Mack “This, their second million dollar gift to Southside Hospital, is a tangible affirmation of our resurgence as the healthcare heart of our community and provides critical support for the programs and services we are developing. They are truly our guardian angels and we are so very grateful to this remarkable and gracious family.”
Guests enjoyed a touch of Tudor splendor as they roamed from the main dining tent to the gaming area, enjoying entertainment and Broadway performances.
