Summer Restaurant & Wine Tasting Event Benefits Breast Care Services at Glen Cove Hospital
GLEN COVE, NY – On a recent sultry summer evening, more than 300 people gathered at the Webb Institute in Glen Cove overlooking the Long Island Sound to sample eclectic foods of 25 local eateries and wineries at Glen Cove Hospital’s restaurant and wine tasting event, sponsored by the hospital’s volunteer Auxiliary. Thanks to the efforts of the Auxiliary and the generosity of local merchants and supporters, the event raised over $20,000, which is earmarked for the hospital’s breast care services and a contribution toward the purchase of a state-of-the-art digital mammography machine.
