Top Doctors 2009
Over 80 of North Shore-LIJ’s cancer experts have been named to the prestigious Castle Connolly listing, America’s Top Doctors. Some of the key departments represented include gynecologic oncology, radiation medicine, pediatrics, neurosurgery and urology. The list is based on a peer-review survey conducted by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd, a New York-based research and information company, which sends nomination forms to a broad spectrum of the medical community. Since 1991, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a research and information company, has been publishing its annual guidebook, listing the top physicians in the United States in their particular specialty. Among the physician criteria evaluated for inclusion in the guide are:
