Training Locations
The North Shore-LIJ Health System is comprised of 15 hospitals. The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery program is active at two of its tertiary facilities, Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital. The residents in our program spend the majority of their five years at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where they gain experience in the following specialties: joint replacement service, spine service, sports medicine service as well as general orthopaedic conditions and rotate to the following hospitals for the following rotations:

North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset is the location of the trauma rotation. North Shore is a Level I Trauma Center.

Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York on the campus of Long Island Jewish Medical Center is the location for the pediatric rotation.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan for the orthopaedic oncology rotation.

Feinstein Institute — Orthopaedic Research Laboratory for the research rotation.
