Undergraduate Medical Education Programs

The North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System is committed to providing a superior educational experience for medical students. We serve as a major clinical site for required clerkships in Pediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, Obstetrics-Gynecology and Neurology for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York University School of Medicine, SUNY Downstate and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. We also offer elective specialty areas within our health care system for qualified students.

Our clerkship training sites are located in various communities, which provide a diverse patient population and broad spectrum of training. Our residents and attending physicians share our commitment to outstanding clinical practice and teaching.

Please note: We have updated the Elective Clinical Clerkship Application form. If you have previously submitted a Web-based Elective Application and did not receive a response, please resubmit using the new elective application process.
