Vascular Institute at Southside
At Southside Hospital's Vascular Institute, vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with disorders of arteries and veins. Its doctors are well trained and experienced in new methods developed over the past two decades to treat vascular diseases. They are expert in non-invasive (non-surgical) testing, vascular surgery, and minimally invasive surgery. The Institute's board-certified physicians have completed fellowships for advanced training after their residencies in vascular surgery or interventional radiology. Our success rates compare favorably with those in academic hospitals, giving patients the opportunity for excellent care in a warm and hospitable setting close to their homes.
Determining the proper treatment for vascular disease is not always easy, but it is vitally important. Our doctors work with you and your primary care physician to reach the correct diagnosis and choose the proper treatment.
You will need a referral from your primary care physician before coming to the Vascular Institute for care. After your diagnostic studies are complete, they will be reviewed by the Institute's surgeons and radiologists, who will discuss them with you and your doctor and make recommendations for your care and treatment.
