Quality Substance Abuse Services for the Community

The Adolescent Services Unit, The Dual Diagnosis Services Unit and The Women and Children's Program all have day program components. Adolescent substance abusers, adults with both significant psychiatric symptoms along with substance abuse problems, and women and children are treated in these programs respectively. The Adolescent Services Unit and the Women and Children's Program also have less intensive treatment alternatives. The Outpatient Recovery Center provides traditional outpatient treatment to adult substance abusers and their families. The Methadone Treatment Program is no longer in service. All of the programs are medically supervised, and psychiatric services are available to all patients. The medical services of the hospital and those of the North Shore-LIJ Health System are available to all patients of the division.
