Nephrology
The Division of Kidney Diseases and Hypertension at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System has a nationally and internationally distinguished faculty involved in patient care (both in inpatient and outpatient settings), research and teaching. Areas of emphasis include the treatment of end-stage renal disease, pre- and post-transplantation services, hypertension and metabolic bone disease. The division maintains active research programs focused on diabetic kidney disease and polycystic kidney disease, as well as clinical trials in the areas of hypertension, chronic kidney disease, anemia and metabolic bone disease.
