North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System offers a unique and comprehensive out-patient physical therapy service to the Nassau, Suffolk and Queens area. Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation Services (S.T.A.R.S.) provides high quality rehabilitation to a diverse population of orthopedic, spine, sports, neurologic and work related injuries and disorders. Our skilled and knowledgeable staff of Physical Therapists, Physical therapy Assistants and Occupational Therapist guide, educate and motivate their patients to achieve maximum functional capabilities. Many of our therapists are certified as Strength and Conditioning Specialists, Athletic Trainers, Pilates Polestar Instructors, McKenzie Therapists, and Arthritis Foundation Self Help instructors.
We have four modern and attractive facilities in East Meadow, Roslyn Heights, Forest Hills and Manhasset. All facilities are well equipped to take you through each stage of the rehabilitation process. Whether you’re a high level athlete or someone who is requires rehabilitation due to joint replacement surgery our professional staff and facility can return you to prior level of function. S.T.A.R.S. participate in most major insurance plans and provide on-site courtesy oriented coordinators for insurance and billing questions.
S.T.A.R.S. offers a number of specialty services such as Aquatic, Hand, Joint, Neurologic, Balance, Orthopedic, Spine and Sports Performance Rehabilitation. Each specialty provides the patient with evidenced based treatment protocols and individualized treatment programs.
