Surgery

Welcome to the Department of Surgery at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center.

We provide comprehensive surgical care for adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. All physicians are specialists in their areas, and teaching appointments are through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. To provide and maintain state-of-the art expertise and equipment, the department is divided into six subspecialty divisions and eight sections.
