Long Island Cardiovascular Medicine Associates Joins North Shore-LIJ Health System

The North Shore-LIJ Health System announced today that Long Island Cardiovascular Medical Associates, with offices in Deer Park and Babylon, has joined the health system. 

Now part of the North Shore-LIJ Medical Group, the practice will bear its new name at each location -- North Shore-LIJ Medical Group Long Island Cardiovascular. Established in 1984, the board-certified cardiologists at Long Island Cardiovascular Medical Associates have treated more than 50,000 patients in Southwestern Suffolk County, providing cutting-edge consultative cardiovascular services in a caring environment.

The North Shore-LIJ Medical Group is a multi-specialty group practice with more than 2,500 world-class physicians who provide exceptional care utilizing the extensive resources of the North Shore-LIJ Health System, the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine

“We are elated to join the North Shore-LIJ Health System at this time, as the alignment enables us to remain at the forefront of quality care, innovation, research and education in Suffolk County,”  said Guillermo A. San Roman, MD, the practice’s medical director. 

In addition to Dr. San Roman, the practice’s physicians include Jerry Sokol, MD; Abraham Schneider, MD; Adam Kupersmith, MD; and Lance Lefkowitz, MD.

The cardiology practices are located at 1630 Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park and 200 West Main St. in Babylon. The Deer Park office’s hours are: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Babylon office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
