Welcome to the Children's Heart Center at Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York, the only children's hospital on Long Island that offers comprehensive cardiac care from pregnancy through infancy, childhood, adolescence and beyond. Our physicians, nurses and support staff strive to provide you and your child with the best cardiac care in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau County and Suffolk County.

Our goal is to provide world-class pediatric cardiac care to you and your family within the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Our pediatric cardiologists and pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons work closely with pediatric intensivists, neonatologists, and pediatric anesthesiologists to provide your child the multidisciplinary care he or she may require. Our staff will use the most thorough yet least invasive methods to evaluate your child's condition and reduce possible risks. We have recruited many physicians from leading pediatric cardiac centers around the country to allow us to continue to provide cutting-edge technology for the care of your child.

The Children's Heart Center at the Cohen Children’s Medical Center is an integrated group of doctors, nurses and other health professionals working together to offer comprehensive, single-point-of-access, patient-centered care to infants, children and adolescents with heart disease. The physicians within Children's Heart Center provide a full array of cardiology outpatient and inpatient cardiac care services to children in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.

The Children’s Heart Center at Cohen Children’s Medical Center is the only program on Long Island that offers comprehensive pediatric cardiology care including pediatric open heart surgey, and we proudly announce the opening of our newest location: 

The Children’s Heart Center at New Hyde Park.

Our physicians, nurses and support staff are experts in the field of children’s heart disease and provide multidisciplinary services—including noninvasive echocardiography (ECG)—to diagnose fetal, newborn, and infant heart abnormalities.

And that brings joy to hearts of any age.
