Cardiac MRI and CT Scans - What to Expect

A cardiac MRI or a cardiac CT scan may be ordered to obtain information about the anatomy of the heart, arteries or veins. In addition, these tests may be ordered to obtain further information about the heart’s function. These tests are performed in conjunction with radiology. Small children may require sedation with a pediatric anesthesiologist to remain still for the study.
