Nuclear Stress Testing
To diagnose certain types of abnormalities in heart function during exercise, a nuclear stress test may be ordered. This test involves the placement of an IV and the injection of a small amount of “tracer” which can help give further details about the heart function. This test is performed in conjunction with the adult cardiology department at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
