The North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System is committed to providing a superior educational experience for medical students. We serve as a major clinical site for required clerkships in Pediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, Obstetrics-Gynecology and Neurology for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York University School of Medicine, SUNY Downstate and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and offer many sub-specialty electives. We are currently in the process of opening our own medical school in partnership with Hofstra University.  The Hofstra University-North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine  is on target to accept our inaugural class for September of 2011.

Our clerkship training sites are located in various communities, which provide a diverse patient population and broad spectrum of training. Our residents and attending physicians share our commitment to outstanding clinical practice and teaching.
