Inpatient Rehabilitation at Southside
Southside Hospital has two inpatient units, the 24-bed Regional Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation and the 21-bed Regional Center for Brain Injury Rehabilitation. Doctors, nurses, therapists and others in the rehabilitation unit help adult patients who have been admitted for amputations, degenerative and rheumatoid joint diseases, joint replacements, complex fractures and other traumatic injuries.
The brain injury center accepts patients diagnosed with brain tumors, stroke, traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis and other neurological disorders or diseases. Unlike in some free-standing rehabilitation programs, patients at Southside Hospital have all the resources of the hospital available to them.
