The Division of General Surgery provides tertiary care for complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, procedures for benign and malignant conditions of the breast, gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, pancreas and liver.
Also provided are surgical procedures for all types of hernias, including inguinal, femoral, epigastric and incisional. Another service provided by this division is the surgical management of patients with hypertension secondary to endocrine pathology such as pheochromocytoma and aldosteronoma.
