Through its medical school affiliations the Division satisfies its educational mission by participating in resident and medical student training. An active research program is in place focusing on tissue engineering techniques to facilitate wound healing.
Access to the Plastic Surgery Clinic at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset allows for care for all patients in need of service without regard to their ability to pay.
