Stop Smoking Services

The Center for Tobacco Control staff understands how hard it is to quit. The staff are trained professionals in tobacco dependence.

The Center for Tobacco Control holds FREE six-week stop smoking classes.

Stop Smoking Group

Ongoing Follow Up Classes:

  • FREE weekly ongoing follow up classes - evenings
  • Provide support to maintain a successful quit attempt
  • Meets on Tuesday nights at 6:00 p.m.
  • Nicotine Anonymous meets on Monday nights at 6:45 p.m., call (631) 665-0527 with questions

This service is made possible with the help of the Rosen Wellness Center.

Tobacco Control College Initiative:

  • Adelphi University - Provide tobacco control education for nursing students
  • Molloy College - Provide tobacco control education for nursing students
  • U.S. Merchant Marine Academy - On-site stop smoking program for cadets
  • Hofstra University - Assisted with cessation program development
