Fully Operational, North Shore-LIJ Health System Continues to Take In More Transfers from NY Hospitals

The North Shore-LIJ Health System accepted 10 patients evacuated Wednesday afternoon from Bellevue Hospital Center in Manhattan, on top of the 94 that Lenox Hill and other North Shore-LIJ hospitals received on Tuesday from NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan and the 45 who were transported from Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the North Shore-LIJ Health System reported today that all of its hospitals and emergency departments were operational Tuesday morning. North Shore-LIJ hospitals received a total of 94 patients who were evacuated Tuesday morning from NYU Langone Medical Center.
