Forest Hills Hospital
Forest Hills Hospital. part of The Cancer Institute at North Shore-LIJ, is a 222-bed community hospital located in residential neighborhood in northern Queens. Forest Hills Hospital is accredited by the American college of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a community hospital program.
Cancer services at Forest Hills Hospital include Medical Oncology and Chemotherapy, Screening and Diagnostics such as PAP tests, Mammography, Colonoscopy, PSA/ Prostate Biopsy, CT Scans, Stereotactic Breast Biopsies, as well as programs in Chemotherapy, Radiation Oncology consultations and cancer prevention programs.
The Urologic Cancer Program treats all urologic cancers, including kidney, prostate, bladder and testis. In conjunction with the Division of Radiation Oncology, brachytherapy (radioactive seed implantation) for prostate cancer treatment is also available.
The Surgical Oncology Division encompasses all surgeries related to the surgical treatment of cancer. Specific sub-specialties include: general surgical oncology, head and neck and thoracic oncology.
