Glen Cove Hospital
Glen Cove Hospital, The Mildred and Frank Feinberg Campus, is a 265-bed facility and home of the Don Monti Cancer Center, a part of the North Shore-LIJ Cancer Institute, which includes medical oncologists/hematologists and radiation oncologists who specialize in the treatment of cancer and blood diseases. The Don Monti Cancer Center provides oncology certified nurses, radiation therapists and other health care professionals who ensure that the multiple needs of cancer patients and their family members are met.
Glen Cove Hospital's Department of Radiation Medicine plays an integral part in comprehensive treatment of cancer. The department is equipped with a dual-energy linear accelerator and simulator, complemented by an ADAC Pinnacle treatment planning system designed to meter out specific doses of radiation, for an individualized treatment plan. The Medical Oncology Program facilitates cancer treatment through systemic chemotherapy and biologic and targeted therapies. The experts in the Department of Surgery are extensively trained radiological localization techniques, minimally invasive techniques which reduce recovery time and other advanced procedures.
The state-of-the-art Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation offers specialized treatment for cancer conditions which require rehabilitative treatments and therapies.
The Cancer Program at Glen Cove Hospital is approved by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, with commendations for outstanding performance.
