Center for Melanoma and Rare Skin Cancers
The surgeons, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists at the Center for Melanoma and Rare Skin Cancers take a team approach to treating patients with melanoma and other skin cancers, from diagnosis through reconstruction and post-operative therapy. We offer innovative treatments for advanced forms of melanoma, a full range of support services and make new options available through clinical trials.
We offer multidisciplinary care in the diagnosis and treatment of complex and rare skin cancers, including advanced surgical treatment, precise radiation therapy and medical oncology such as immunotherapy and chemotherapy. Skin cancer risk prevention strategies and research are also key components of the program.
Our goal is to provide patient-centered care so we make every effort to conduct initial consultations as quickly as possible. We facilitate any diagnostic tests or procedures that are necessary and thoroughly explain the scope of diagnosis. Then, our surgical team formulates an individualized treatment plan which may include medical oncology and radiation medicine if necessary. Our clinicians collaborate with local and regional dermatology practices to ensure continuum of care.
