Breast Imaging
Breast imaging services provided by the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System include digital mammography, ultrasound of the breast and breast interventional procedures, including breast core biopsy under ultrasound and stereotactic guidance, fine needle aspiration and ductography. Stereotactic core biopsy using a vacuum-assisted device (Mammotome) is available. Experienced and specially trained staff include radiologists who are dedicated to breast imaging and intervention and technologists certified in mammography. Our facilities are accredited by the American College of Radiology.
